How Foosun Helps With Storage
We’re a moving company, not a storage facility. Here’s what that means in practice:
We move your belongings to the storage facility.
If you’re putting items into storage as part of a move or downsizing, we load, transport, and unload at the facility. You don’t need to coordinate separate moving labour — we handle it as part of your booking.
We offer short-term storage in our truck or secured garage.
For gap situations where you need to be out before your new place is ready, we store your belongings ourselves — in our moving truck or our secured company garage — for overnight to a few days, then deliver when you’re ready.
We load and unload storage containers and PODs on-site.
If you have a U-Haul container, PODS unit, or similar storage container delivered to your property, we provide the labour to load or unload it. Available as a standalone service — no full move required.

Short-Term Storage — Truck or Garage
For gap situations where you need to be out before your next place is ready, we offer two short-term storage options depending on the size of your load:
Storage in our truck
We load your belongings on move-out day, keep everything secured in the truck overnight or for a few days, then deliver when you’re ready. Best for larger loads where the truck can hold everything in one go. A daily storage-in-truck fee applies on top of the move rate, disclosed upfront before you confirm.
Storage in our secured garage
For smaller loads, we store items in our company garage — locked, secured, and monitored by camera. Generally cheaper per day than truck storage. Same process: we load, store, and deliver when your new place is ready. Daily rate depends on duration and is quoted upfront.
Both options are best for:
- Closing date gaps where move-out and move-in don’t line up
- Staging situations where furniture needs to be out temporarily
- Any short bridge between two addresses — overnight to a few days
For longer storage needs we refer you to facility partners like Dymon or U-Haul.
Loading and Unloading Storage Containers
If you have a storage container or POD delivered to your property — U-Haul U-Box, PODS, or similar — we provide the labour to load or unload it. This is one of our most common standalone requests.
What’s included:
- Full loading or unloading of the container
- Furniture wrapping and padding where needed
- Efficient stacking to maximize container space and protect items in transit
- Disassembly of furniture where required to fit the container
This service is billed hourly. Call us with the container size and a rough inventory and we’ll give you a time estimate.

Other facilities — depending on your location and storage needs, we may recommend additional options. We’ll give you an honest recommendation based on your situation.

When People Use Storage With a Move
Gap between move-out and move-in. Your old place closes before your new one is ready. We move your belongings into our truck or garage for a few days, then deliver when you’re ready — or move everything to a facility for longer gaps.
Downsizing. You’re moving to a smaller space and not everything is coming with you. We move the overflow into storage while you figure out what stays.
Staging a home for sale. Decluttering before listing means temporarily relocating furniture. We move it out, store it short-term, and bring it back after the sale closes.

How is storage-related moving billed?
Moving labour is billed hourly — the same rate as any other move. Short-term storage in our truck or garage is billed at a daily rate on top of the move, always disclosed upfront. Storage facility costs for longer-term storage are separate and paid directly to the facility.
Can you move items out of storage when I'm ready?
Yes. Whether we moved them in or not, we can pick up from a storage facility and deliver to your new address. Call us when you’re ready and we’ll book it as a standard move.
How much storage space do I need?
A rough guide: a one-bedroom apartment typically fits in a 5×10 unit. A two-bedroom fits in a 10×10. A three-bedroom or larger usually needs a 10×20 or more. The storage facility can confirm based on your specific inventory — we can help you think through what’s going in before you call them.
Do you offer packing services for items going into storage?
