What Professional Packing Actually Does That DIY Doesn’t
Most move-day damage happens during packing — not transport. Improperly wrapped dishes shift and crack. Glasses packed upright instead of on their rims break at the rim under compression. Electronics without internal padding absorb impact directly. Artwork without corner protection gets dented in transit.
Professional packing reduces damage, makes loading and unloading faster (a well-packed truck unloads in a fraction of the time), and creates a labeled inventory system so nothing gets lost or placed in the wrong room. For long-distance moves, proper packing is especially important — the longer the transit, the more a poorly packed box has time to shift and settle.

Packing cost depends on the volume and complexity of your items. We offer two quoting approaches depending on the scope:
Full-Home Packing — Fixed Quote
We assess the home and provide a fixed price for the full packing job. No hourly surprises — the quote is what you pay for the packing portion.
Partial Packing — Hourly + Materials
Partial packing and fragile-only services are billed hourly plus materials used. We estimate time and materials at booking.

- Home size and number of rooms. More rooms = more time = higher cost. Kitchen takes disproportionately longer than bedrooms of the same size.
- Fragile and specialty item volume. A kitchen full of fine china takes 3× longer to pack than the same space filled with pots and books.
- Do you supply materials or do we? Client-supplied boxes reduce material cost; we supply when you want professional-grade boxes.
- Urgency. Same-day packing carries a premium when available.
- Storage-ready packing. Palletizing and moisture barriers add time and materials for items going into long-term storage.
